Jobs in Austin, TX for a 14 year old?

-Not like mow lawns or babysit, actual businesses that will hire a 14 year old girl with a good work ethicAccording to the law in Texas, a 14 or 15 year old can work limited hours with parental approval. Finding somewhere that can hire that young can be difficult.



Especially in this economy. If a company has plenty of applications for 16 or 17 year olds, they're likely to go that direction first.



So, your best bet is finding someone to make a qualified introduction for you. Do you have a friend or relative working somewhere you'd like to work? Have them introduce you.



I got a job working as a bus boy in a restaurant at 15 years old. Probably the only reason I even got an interview was the fact that my older brother already worked there.
I'm not sure about Austin, but as chains go, normally the only businesses that will hire 14 year olds are fast food places like McDonalds.
