-I recently moved from tennessee to florida and I am in the process of transferring my liscense . There are a lot of hassles.is this process this complicated. Can you work while the wheels are in motionor do you have to wait until the process is finished?CNA reciprocity is an easy process if you start it correctly: before you move out from your home state, apply for reciprocity for another state with Nurses Aide registry there and then request application from the state you are moving in.
My wife did it when we had already moved to Florida and it took 2 weeks.
The state of Florida requires from all health care professionals to have Level 2 ( Federal ) background check and it takes another few weeks to complete. But if you have it already done you can start working as a Home Health Aide with any Home care agency in Florida. What you need is to just take a competency test on the spot, which is 106 questions.
Without CNA certificate they can not hire you at a skilled nursing facility.
