I live in brooklyn ny and i wanna know if i volunter for a hospital do i get paid? im 16?

-i want to help my mom out i need a job asap and its hard so i was wondering is volunteering in a hospital gets you paid or is it just go their do work and not get paid?It's pretty rare to find a volunteer position that pays, so looking for volunteer work is not the route to take if you want to make money.



Are you certain you can work legally in NYC at age 16? I'm not certain myself. If you're not sure, call 311 and ask. If they say yes, start going to businesses around where you live and go to school and let them know you're looking for work. They'll probably have you fill out an application. Movie theaters spring to mind as places that seem to hire teenagers. Target too I think, and the YMCA, and grocery stores. Just Google "jobs for teenagers" (without quotes).



If 311 says no, maybe try babysitting? Or more Googling =)
